| Flight instruction is a service that is one of the many
benefits of being a LFE member. Enrollment in the LFE Flight Training
Program is easy. You must be a member of the Academy of Model Aeronautics and the
Livermore Flying Electrons. See Join LFE for details. Then contact our
Membership Chairman. It must be stressed that our training staff is a dedicated group of individuals who volunteer their time helping others acquire the skills to safely pilot their RC aircraft. There are usually more students than instructors, so instructor time is valuable. The Chief Flight Instructor will help you select an instructor. You will find them friendly and helpful. Beginners are expected to attend the ground school early and seek building help during non-flying hours. The student is responsible for arranging training times directly with an instructor. Normal instruction is on weekend mornings. Students arriving at the field early will benefit from the additional available time. Simple courtesy goes a long way; manage your volunteer instructor's time wisely and efficiently. |
